ArcScene problem - any advice out there?

Hi, I'm having some trouble visualizing something in ArcScene and was wondering if any of you more experienced users had some advice (I'm an MSc student and this is for my thesis).  Basically, I have some points for which I've set base heights according to the frequency for which certain places were visited.  I'm trying to drape a polygon over

It's been a while since I've used ArcScene, but I think that it's only possible to specify base heights for draped data based on rasters and not vector (polygon) data.

So maybe if you interpolated a raster from the point data that you have (in Spatial Analyst) and use the frequencies of visitation for the raster values, then you could use this new raster as your base heights for the polygon that you want to drape. Or drape the raster itself?

Thanks - you know, it's been so long since I did my course work that I probably forgot that I could only drape a raster. I was trying to drape a vector layer instead :-P

I'll give it a try and see if I'm getting the look that I want.
