Room 419, Monday afternoon/evening

Charlie had gone to the Welcome Picnic, but only talked to two new people today-- Johnny Blaze and River, who wasn't new, just new to Charlie. Chatting with Dean and Johnny Storm had kind of occupied her time more, and then she'd headed to Cafe' Fina to get dinner from Namine

Carmela hadn't gone to the picnic, but she had gone clothes-shopping on the mainland, which is why she's only just now arriving back, tossing the shopping bags on her bed before following them with a dramatic flounce.

"Hey, Charlie!"

"Hey, Carmela," Charlie said, waving a fork at her. "Oooo. What did you buy? And I got you dinner, I hope you like shrimp Caesar salad."

"Well, I love both those things seperately, so it stands to reason putting them together would be good too," Carmela grins at Charlie. "And I got... shorts, mostly. And shoes! I love summer."

Taking a bite of torte, Charlie grinned, and said, "I really need a new bathing suit. The elastic on my old one's almost worn out. We should go shopping sometime this week." She swallowed and asked, "Have you met any of the new kids yet?"

Troy was wandering down the hallway when his candy-radar went off. "Hello?" he said, as he looked down and saw the bowl of candy. "Is this for people to take?" he asked.

"Yup!" Charlie waved from inside the room, sitting on her bed, and grinned at the new guy. "Hi. I'm Charlie, my roomie's Carmela. Welcome to Fandom, eat candy, make yourself at home."

"Hey!" Troy said. "I'm Troy. New kid, down the hall." He grinned. "And don't mind if I do!" he added, taking a handful of candy.

"Hey, Troy. I've only been here six weeks, I'm almost as new as you. Where are you from?" A nice innocuous question, to see if the weirdness would be news or old story to the new guy.
