Wow...when will you be touching down in SG???

Makeup -- look out for Ettusais, Kesalan Patharan and I Nuovi.

As for clothes, SG is shopping heaven! Don't restrict yourself to the big names like Mango or Zara, you can find decent and affordable buys almost anywhere. :) Check out Far East Plaza and The Heeren.

I have been in town six weeks -- SIX. WEEKS. -- and have not yet found any suits, and few casual clothes, worth buying. AAAAARGH. This vacay has been more frustrating from a shopping standpoint than any I have ever known. (And if I ever move back home, I shall have to do all my shopping elsewhere. ARGH.)

But you never know, perhaps the clothes shall fit you. Good luck, my foreign-raised friend!

Shiseido isn't local by any stretch, but yesterday I tried out one of their powder foundations and loved the texture. $74!!!! Maybe it will be cheaper elsewhere? *hopes*

work/business clothes: try Plaza Singapura, City Hall area (walk through Citilink to Suntec), Raffles City area

casual clothes: ORCHARD ROAD! Bugis too.

makeup/skincare: go check out all the Japanese/Korean brands. Definitely cheaper here. Chanel's also way cheaper here. For those, just hit the big dept stores at Orchard Road - Tangs and Isetan Scotts (under Lido) are my favorite.

Be warned though, clothes in Sg fit a certain body shape, as tinymich has warned. So you might be disappointed. But honestly, JUST TRY. Evie came and she's definitely not small but she managed to find quite a bit.

I find it's not so much a size thing as a shape/proportion thing... if your proportions are what they cut for, you can buy the same clothes, just in the larger sizes.

Psst Xue, do you know if Shiseido is cheaper here or in any other country (Japan, Taiwan, HK)?
