Week 36

Routine checkup yesterday with the measuring and the listening to the heartbeat, both of which were a-ok. Also did the Group B Strep test, the results of which I will find out at my next appointment. It's not a huge deal - 1 in 5 women are GBS carriers and most have no idea. All it means is that you'll have to have IV anitbiotics for a few ( Read more... )

It can't have been 8 months already!!!!! Just kidding! I know for you it probably feels like it's be 12 months with another to go. I'm so glad you've enjoyed being pregnant. It's really nice to be able to look back and say "That was one of the happiest times of my life."

And now for my fantastic news. I GET TO BE A GRANDMA THIS YEAR! My son and DIL told us on New Year's Eve that they are expecting with the due date in early August. It's great because she lost a little one a couple of years ago. So this baby is especially wonderful. It will be the first grandbaby on both sides so you can just imagine the spoiling that will be going on.

Can't wait to see the photos of your little one. Keep us posted.

You know, actually, the time has really flown by in a general sense. Week by week it goes so slow but then I look back and think, wow, already?! I am glad that I'll be able to look back on this as a wonderful experience.

Congratulations! That's so wonderful. I hope her pregnancy goes well too.

And don't worry! There will be so many pictures (when I find time to post them!)

~~~Almost every night, Mr. F and I lay on the couch or in bed with our hands on my belly, just feeling the baby move, and it's a really lovely time of closeness and connection for us. I'll miss that too, and I hope we can find a new way to do that once the baby's here.~~~
My dad said he used to watch me sleep and breathe when I was a baby. When he wasn't continuously rocking me once I caught every childhood disease (one after another).
Once you have a baby it's like having a bit of magic to cuddle. I know that much (even if it is second hand).
C'mon, Peanut! :)
Aww! ♥
I'm sure we'll find a good way to cuddle all three of us on the couch together. And I'm sure we'll both spend a goodly amount of time just watching him breathe!
It has really flown by - I can't believe it's almost time either!
It's been such a great experience and one that I definitely want to have again (but not too soon!) Glad you've enjoyed the updates! Maybe someday Peanut can read them too.
Hee! I was actually thinking when I left that comment how cool it would be if Peanut could read them one day, but I didn't say it because it sounded stalkery and weird! *g*
Not at all!
My grandmother and mother both kept written journals for years and I've inherited them. I am so thrilled and thankful to be able to read them and have that extra insight into their lives.
I wish my mom had started hers when she was pregnant with me - there is so much I would've liked to ask her! So even though this one's a boy and prolly won't be as interested in the pregnancy aspect, I do plan to let my kids read my journal someday.
I giggled at the thought of poor Peanut and his Search for the Great Egress. Good to hear you're feeling well!
