About the My Fake Baby stuff, man, a couple of months ago mom and I went to the grocery store, and there was this lady with a shopping cart that had one of those plastic bassinets in it. We take a look, thinking we'd see a cute baby, and dude, I shit you not, it was a doll in there. It... was the saddest thing I'd ever seen in my entire life.

They had a lady who makes them and then goes around in the grocery store with them in the bassinet asking if people want to buy a baby! THIS IS HOW SHE SELLS THEM. I bet it was her! Eew.

Gah, the whole show was just...creepy. There are no words. Some of the people I felt sad for and some of the people I just thought...WTF?

There was one couple who didn't want all the bother, noise, mess, etc. of having a real kid, so they got a fake one. And they were spending like hundreds of pounds on accessories and shit. Speechless, I tell you.

OTOH, maybe that's a good thing? So many people think they're ready for being parents when they're not. If they're smart enough to recognize they can't handle the literal shit of a baby and the responsibility of growing a good person, and just want the cutsie stuff... honestly, I don't mind that.

Okay, that's very true - I hadn't thought of it that way. I was just looking at the creepy factor.

I still think it's kind of weird, but much better they recognize they're not cut out to be parents and don't bring another kid into the world.
