Yes, it was quite a ride. I'm very satisfied with the way things ended. And I loved the high death count - I didn't really think she'd kill off that many people.
And, unlike a lot of other people, I LIKED the epilogue! Of course, I've always been a proponent of the OBHWF.
Personally I though the epilogue read a little bit like fanfic...to quote myself on my LJ - "the whole 'Harry and Ginny and Ron and Hermione got together and had a whole brood of little gingernut kiddies who are all bestest-friends forever' just seems a little like it was written to placate the masses...".
But that's just my opinion, obviously. I absolutely howled when I read about Lupin and Tonks! And Fred, actually

I've seen a lot of people mentioning that the epilogue read like fanfic, which, yeah, it totally did. And also a lot of complaints about there being no gay people in the wizarding world. Which, again, yeah, but this is still a series for kids and I dunno if JKR really wanted to delve into that.
I heard somewhere that she had the epilogue written a long time ago. Maybe that's why it seemed so tacked on.
Oh, Fred was the worst for me, I think. And Hedwig. *sniffle*
Wow, how good was that? Only one of the deaths had me outraged, prepared to accept the others. Even liked the epilogue, not too full of love and the such as I thought it'd be. James is wonderfully obnoxious.
I'm now off to admire jk's signature in the front of my free book *is not boasting at all, is just happy... maybe showing off a little* :)
I LOVED it. Plus I was none too HBP, so this was a great relief. Which death had you outraged? I was good with them all. In fact, I'm glad she killed off so many.
I liked the epilogue, although I wish we'd found out more about other characters. And also what Harry did for a living.
Fred! How could she do that to Fred and George!!! I mean its good she killed off so many, she could have just said, so many died, but miraculously no-one important to harry.
I thought the epilogue was good too, but it was a bit lacking too. I kinda want to know what happened to the Dursleys and if harry spoke to them again, and if the Dark Marks disapeared when Voldemort died, if Kingsley stayed minister, who was headteacher...ooo there's so much!
I went to this moonlight signing thing JK did in London at the natural history museum, was an online competition. Our arrival time was 3am though! And we were there from 1230 because we had to get the last train at 12 and we waited until 5am to get our books signed!! Worth it? I'm not sure. It did mean I had an excuse to sleep all day....
Well, I didn't cry at all. I almost did when Dobby died but thats it. I really thought one of the Trio was going to die, I've thought that all along (oh, and the spoiler I saw, was that Hermione was killed by Voldemort, so glad that wasn't true
( ... )
I got sniffly at Dobby but actually cried when Harry used the stone and summoned his dead to escort him into the forest.
The only one I was sure was going to die was Snape. And I kind of liked the way she glossed over some of the deaths. The simple casualness of it made it all the more horrible. Sort of like Neville being so cavalier about how he'd been treated.
The 7 Potters was great! Them all getting naked was hilarious. I dunno what my favorite part was either. I need to read it again. I did like the Dobby stuff and the Kreacher stuff and well, just about everything except the endless camping trip. LOL!
First, I the epilouge seemed tacked on. I wasn't a big fan. Maybe because I was in shock about my boy. Why Snape? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Well, at least we found out for real that he wasn't that bad of a person. Bit messed up, but not that bad.
It did seem tacked on, but it didn't bug me like it has so many others.
As soon as I finished HBP, I figured two things: One, Snape was a good guy and two: He wasn't going to make it out alive. Glad I was proved right on both counts. Snape was a great character but I really didn't see any other way for it to go for him. *pets you* Sorry your boy had to bite it. (Or get bitten, as the case may be.)

Wow, lucky you! I mean, the waiting around part must not have been too fun, but still! Free book! With autograph! Very cool.

What was your favorite part? Mine was Harry preparing himself to go into the forest to meet V.
