So interested in seeing how they handle the backstory for all of the characters in this. I'll admit, while I was really into X-Men when I was a kid, I don't know the story for a lot of the characters they chose to include in the movie, so I'm really intrigued to see how they manage this as both a prequel to the movies that are already out (that I honestly don't much care for), but also as a reboot of the franchise.
i honestly think anything that could remotely be called a backstory is shot to hell in this thing. i mean, we have teen!alex in the 70's, for goodness' sake. which would probably make him older than scott. completely messes up everything, as far as i'm concerned.
i've loved all the x-men movies, but i would honestly be more comfortable if they make this one a reboot and not a prequel. i mean, they're doing the same with spider-man, right? i think getting some fresh blood to play cyclops, jean & co would be a good idea.
apart from me scratching my head a bit over the timeline of events spanning all the movies, though, i'm so damn psyched for this! *fangirls some more*
