I know. Father's death is a little bit too anticlimactic to hit me as much as I initially expected. I went like, "...Uh, that's it?"

*raises hand* Hah. I dunno, but it was TOO obvious for me. *shrugs* Or maybe it was wishful thinking on my part, and Arakawa just delivered, heh. I think it's a sweet end for Hohenheim. I couldn't ask for more. I'm rather surprised Scar's still alive though. I was betting he and Hohenheim would be the ones to go.

And are you kidding??? The only reaction I got was, "Dayum. Scar's hot." LOL! And OMGOMGOMG I was thinking the same thing, the lack of Hughes!!! D'awww!

P.S. Bought the first four books of Percy Jackson series as per your recommendation. Trade paperbacks for around $3.5 each, I think? Now, to read 'em.... Maybe next year? Heh.

it WAS definitely anticlimactic. however, i think i wasn't quite AS baffled because i was sort of expecting it-- i always sort of knew that the last chapter would be more of an epilogue about how everybody ended up and such, and she had SO many characters that were so loved, so i kind of figured she wouldn't have time to give father a really awesome ending AND wrap everything else up in just one chapter. but still, i had been hoping to see a little bit more action... pity that didn't happen.

I think it's a sweet end for Hohenheim.

i thought it was very sweet, too. i guess we all sort of wanted him to die so he'd finally be back with trisha... i had just been dead-set on him dying to save his kids, so when THAT didn't happen, and he just sort of walked off, i figured he'd go around trying to help people or something, i wasn't expecting him to just... sit there and die. it caught me off-guard. but the more i think about it, the more i think ( ... )
