I just feel much more comfortable in crowded places when there's a nice, strong male there for me to bury my face into if I get scared, that's all.

I seriously doubt we'll be burning anyone at the stake after the Ball. Sure, the staff of this school is known to be a little ..quirky, but a witch burning? Like you said, it went out of fashion ages ago! Besides, a very small number of witches got kicks out of it, anyway. Most just found it incredibly boring.
