i know i've said this before, but i'm cosplaying(/crossdressing) as ronon dex from stargate atlantis at dragon*con this year. (OMG IT'S IN TWO DAYS.) so remember when i posted [ how i made my ronon sword]? well, this post is about how i made my ronon gun. i thought the sword was complicated, but it was nothing compared to this. here is what the gun

Wow. It amazes me how creative you are taking all those random bits and pieces and making it look like Ronon's gun! The sword, too, actually. I can't wait to see the finished product. :)

thanks! i wandered around countless hardware, craft, and toy stores for inspiration. i must've picked up and put back a million different things! also: this IS the finished product. haha, i am not doing anything else to this gun.

No, I meant the whole costume put together, lol. I want to see all the pieces put together, to get the whole 'Ronon' look.

This is absolutely amazing! So much creativity and hard work, not to mention the ability to see something in a different way, how it would look cut apart and put together in another way!

thank you! something like this is almost enough work that it doesn't seem like fun anymore - almost. i really did have fun making it. and i KNOW i'll have fun carrying it around. :D
