Please tell me there's more, this cry's out for more! I love how Spock recognizes Jim even running on instinct because you know he would always recognize Jim. Spock needs to make Jim his mate during his loss of logic, he needs to claim him so he has the right to protect him.... just a thought...

Wow. LOTSA gore. I admit to being squicked right out at the scene with the jaw ripping off, which quite frankly means that you did it right. It was scary and visceral and wrong, in the way that it actually would have been to witness something like that. It always bothers me in fic when horrific things like that happen and are just glossed over with 'oh, well, but it didn't bother anyone'. This was violent and unthinking and really made me aware of how far gone Spock was. He's not going to find it easy to deal with this once he sobers up, poor guy.

But yeah, I also adored the protective!Spock when his captain was tossed in. I'd love to see how this all plays out, especially if there's more of Spock defending and taking care of what's his!

Thanks! I was totally convinced people were going to think I was a freak for the whole detailed jaw-thing (that mental image spawned this whole thing) but now I feel slightly better.
Written violence doesn't bother me at all, surprisingly, since I'm a total wimp with real gore, so it's wonderful to have your view on this. c:

This was incredible. I think I forgot to breathe in a few places. As seems to be the constant plea throughout most of the comments for this ficlet...Sequel please! I mean, how will Spock react to Bones? Will Spock remember how he acted and reacted when the drug is out of his system? Etc, etc, etc...
