Things were too quiet here and I noticed Benji had left the room some time ago. I decided I'd better get up and see if he was waiting by the door to go outside. I am working from home today. I have to say I am mighty glad I organised this - though it was so that the electrician could come fix my bathroom light, and he did not because he failed to return my message. I think I have a sick dog at home today. There's nothing quite like being woken up too early on a Sunday morning by the sound of a dog about to hurl on your wool carpet. No matter how fast I move, and the last dog did try and train me for this, I never ever get there in time ( Read more... )

It's very hard to balance a laptop on your knee and work when you have a small dog insisting on lying on your other leg. How can that even be comfortable?

Further, it's very difficult to take said small dog seriously when he is wearing a rain jacket with the number 1 on his back.

Puppy is getting a haircut tomorrow. He has no idea.

This morning, I popped Benji outside, with a small food treat to distract him from me shutting the door and pissing off to work. As I packed my lunch, I kept an eye on the door but there was no lingering or loitering. No fuss at all, in fact. I went about the rest of my preparation for work. Locked up the house.
