So the food thing?

It turns out, the world is a really dangerous place, eatingwise, we just never knew. As I mentioned before, I got me the OCD which is related to my anxiety stuff. Eh - I reckon at least half of those 'rules' are flexible or ignorable anyhow. Any fresh sushi that doesn't have raw fish in it, soft boiled eggs, and properly-made pasteurised soft cheeses are ok. (I dunno what Jindi were doing with their cheeses to get Listeria in - possibly poor dairy hygiene/improper pasteurisation?) The raw-eggs 'rule' is about not getting salmonella, not about not getting listeria anyhow, and salmonella remains uncommon. Oh hells yes. My mother talks about the 'listeria hysteria'. My doctor agreed with her, which made my life a bit easier.

If you want to see people's heads lift off and rotate 360 - plan a skiing holiday during your pregnancy. I have never seen eyeballs get that big :D

I always tend to think these rules are modern inventions - what were women 100 years ago eating?

However, the main point is that you need to eat what's both healthy for you AND what won't cause you to worry. Which of course leaves you in a very difficult position. :\
