I’m assuming a whole bunch of these posts I’ll make on this grand adventure of realisation to the extent of women’s body policing and sexism I am about to experience you’ll nod and tell me you told me so. And sadly, that’s just how it’s gonna be, I spose.

Oh Alisa/GJ - first, congratulations! I have been away from here for a long while and this is the first post I've come to. I'm thrilled for you.
Second, I absoloutely agree with you regarding the whole disempowerment through norms of silence thing. Thanks for your continuing articulation of pretty much every thought that's ever flickered across my brain.

I HATE the cone of silence. Someone very dear to me has been through far too many miscarriages - but because they were all before the `magical` 12 week mark, she never spoke of them. I never realised why she was so sad, why her heart kept breaking.

The community needs to know this so we can support our sisters.
