Whilst I slog away processing the full stats for the history of the Aurealis Awards, here’s some stats for the current shortlists. I think these will be interesting to compare against the average, when I have that. Being a creative publishing phd, I’m also very interested in publisher statistics. I’m in the process of thinking through performance

I'm hoping not to get myself into knots cause there's so many directions I can go with them! Then they'll mean nothing!!

Do you have any ideas yet or are you just casting a wide net

I'm mostly procrastinating whilst I compile the big long term datasets - so tallies across the span of awards and their sums. And then also looking into publishing companies - I'm actually looking at case studies of a subset of publishing houses but that data is going to take a while to compile.
