They are very difficult to digest, for everyone. I guess with difficult digestive tracts, we notice it? I get tummy aches if I eat them unripe (aka yellow)

Wait until the bananas are over-ripe squish them down and turn them into muffins. Mum used to make a banana loaf but it was more cake-ish than loaf-ish.

I usually do make banana muffins if I can. Do you have your mum's banana loaf recipe? I had a "banana bread" one but I didn't like it - came out too dry.

Remember you can freeze bananas, & often quickly stew other fruit to be frozen for when you need to cook with it.

Also lightly stewed or pureed fruit is nice with icecream and turns it into health food!

yep, just chop it, put it in boiling water with a handful of sugar or a big swizzle of honey. Until it's soft.

Yeah. Don't use a lot of water. You can also use juice. That's what mum does, my response is usually 'gross'.

Broccoli is great in salads when it's been quickly blanched :) It's one of my favourite summer uses of broccoli :)

Stewed fruit for the win. I have some lamenting apples I should do something with...
