Today I discovered Joni Mitchell's Blue. It's gorgeous and beautiful and I can't believe it took me this long. I can't stop listening to it.

Sigh. Today was the best!

Blue was one of several albums that came out at the same time and (theoretically) influenced one another. The others I remember are Carole King's Tapestry and James Taylor's Sweet Baby James, both of which are excellent.
