One of the other cool things at work is that our new boss organised for our section to get its own coffee machine. We inherited one but it was old and crusty. This one is flash and new. AND we got a coffee grinder too. So I am currently learning how to make coffee the way I like to drink it which turns out to be harder than I thought - I can only ( Read more... )

In recent years, it has become almost impossible to purchase a flat white. What you get when you ask for one is an ersatz capuccino. I'm glad I'ma cap drinker because my flat-white-drinking friends all curse the apparently unavoidable froth.

When you are pouring the milk into your cup, use a spoon to hold back the foam and just pour in the hot milk. It will have just enough aeration in the milk to lighten the coffee, without the bubbles on top.
