Reindeer seems having opened his mouth - but there is no barrel tongue inside... However, what else could it lower his jaw for ?
At girlgeniuscomic.livejournal.com/2013/07/30/ his speaker-nose was enough to speak without aiming with tongue like at girlgeniuscomic.livejournal.com/2013/07/28/
PS. Can't help pity the hog. It would probably burn through alive... Such a short life...
PPS. But perhaps those hogs can be sent back towards the wolves, kinda improvised hellburner ships ?
It seems more than a bit perverse to design sentience into these entities, since it isn't needed and they're likely to be destroyed or discarded when they've ceased being useful. Rule of Funny and all that, but still ...
As Simon Wagstaff asked, "Why are we born, only to suffer and die?"
As clanks, neither the schweincopters nor the reindeer are likely to be sentient. Sending the porkchoppers back to fight a delaying action makes sense, as Agatha seems to pack maximum fire-power into everything she makes (early work excepted). The sleigh is probably also packing. A bank of rear-facing guns would be logical.

Huh? I'd say that today's page demonstrates that the reindeer is sentient, and that the reindeer itself assumes the pork-choppers to be intelligent enough to understand its words. (And for good reason -- they clearly understood Agatha's speech two weeks ago, on 20130802.)
I've said it before: There are inconsistencies in the comic that we're expected to overlook for the sake of the Rule of Funny or the Rule of Cool ... but they can be jarring. Remember when Moxana was such an incredible marvel because some claimed she almost seemed self-aware and intelligent?
Lately we've been crossing the line from Mad Science into Mad Magic.
Really, without miniaturization close to the molecular level, which Europa doesn't show any sign of having, a lot of the science we're seen can only be explained as magic.
