Thanks so much for sharing. Sometimes all it takes is someone who doesn't judge and who looks at YOU instead. Even if you didn't save his life, you talked him off the proverbial ledge. Sure, he may do a running jump tomorrow, but for some reason I don't think he will. Because if there's one like you, there are others, and that knowledge may be enough to get him going.
