‘New year means new start…but what is there to make a new start?’ Junsu thought as he idly hugged his stuffed Mickey Mouse toy against his chest, which Yoochun gave to him as a Christmas present. Yoochun gave him a Mickey Mouse instead of something else and as Yoochun quoted ‘so that when you see Mickey Mouse, you will think of me instantly. And if I’m not around, then you can hug Mickey Mouse instead if you miss me.’

Ever since the start of the year, Junsu has been swamped with rehearsals. He couldn’t find time to spend with Yoochun and Jaejoong unless they have a schedule altogether. If they do, time was limited and he would have to rush back for more practice.

‘I understand and it’s okay. I don’t mind as long as you do your best. I’ve always known that you are a perfectionist and you want to be better than last year. To make up for it, just show them your best okay?’

Junsu remembered Yoochun telling that to him when he apologized to Yoochun about the lack of commitment in their relationship. Yoochun just hugged him, assuring that he will always wait for him.

Junsu missed his members dearly, especially Yunho and Changmin. But he missed Yoochun more. It’s been over a week since he last saw Yoochun when he had a schedule with Jaejoong and Yoochun for a photo shoot. Junsu let out a sigh, tightening his arms around Mickey Mouse at the thought of Yoochun.

‘I miss you, you fool,’ Junsu mumbled and let go of Mickey Mouse before placing it on the table in his dressing room. Yes, Junsu always brought the stuffed toy with him to rehearsals and the crew thought it was cute.

Junsu grabbed for his bag and started to rummage for his mobile. He found his black notebook instead and a certain memory crept into his mind, making him smile. He opened the notebook and skipped the pages until he reached a certain list that he wrote last December.

‘Who would have thought that some of the items in the wish list have already come true?’ Junsu thought as he bit his lower lip when he felt a burst of happiness inside.

He rummaged through his bag and found his pen at the bottom. He turned the page and began to write. He wrote until he was called, indicating that lunch break was over. Junsu pouted at the unfinished list and closed the notebook before shoving it into his bag.

‘I can finish it later so I guess it can wait.’ Junsu said to himself as he got up from the chair, headed out of the room and went onstage, where they were all waiting for him.

Yoochun smiled adoringly as he brushed Junsu’s locks away from the forehead. Junsu had fallen asleep and was curled on Jaejoong’s couch. Yoochun had sent him text message hours ago saying that he will hang out in Jaejoong’s place. Few hours later, Yoochun was surprised to find Junsu standing on Jaejoong’s doorstep. Junsu mumbled something when he came inside, saying that there is no way he can have the soul mates always have the fun without him around even if he was busy. Yoochun and Jaejoong were glad to see him and were ready to squeeze the life out of him with their tight embraces.

They ate and drank a little and shortly after, Junsu fell asleep on Yoochun’s shoulder. Yoochun gently put Junsu’s head down on one of the throw pillows on the couch. Jaejoong excused himself to wash the dishes, leaving Yoochun alone to watch the youngest among them.

Yoochun glanced around the living room and found Junsu’s bag lying on the floor. He smirked inwardly and grabbed it, looking for his favorite object inside the bag. He found the black notebook easily and placed the bag down on the floor. He opened the pages and found the latest entry that Junsu wrote.

Yoochun read it. His smile turned into a frown. After he was done, he placed the notebook down on his lap and stared at it with his arms folded on his chest.

Jaejoong glanced up from the sink counter and found Yoochun sitting immobile on the other end of the couch with his arms folded together. He raised his brows with confusion as he saw Yoochun stare earnestly on the object on his lap.

‘What is he doing?’ Jaejoong thought as he watched Yoochun’s brow deepened.

Then Yoochun unfolded his arms and slipped his fingers on the last page. Jaejoong’s eyes widened with astonishment when he watched Yoochun tear the page out of the notebook.

‘Isn’t that Junsu’s notebook? What the heck is Yoochun doing?’ Jaejoong wondered and was about to ask Yoochun when he saw Yoochun got up from the couch and grabbed for his own bag, pulling out is own organizer and slipped the torn page inside the organizer.

Jaejoong rolled his eyes and decided not to inquire anymore. He had learned from Yoochun that it was how they got together and there is a probability that the page has something to do with it, again.

“What the heck!” Junsu exclaimed. It’s been days when he remembered the list that he has yet to complete and decided to finish it, only to find the page missing.

Junsu was aggravated. He doesn’t mind people going through his notebook but he does mind if something was stolen. He balled his fist together with annoyance and slammed the notebook on the desk, creating a sound that disrupted other people’s attention outside his dressing room.

“Junsu-shi?” a staff member poked his head between the door and casted Junsu with a concerned look.

“It’s nothing,” Junsu waved his hand in the air and the staff member left him alone, assuring the others that he was fine.

“Who on earth would do this!” Junsu grumbled as he folded his arm together as he tried to remember if he left his notebook somewhere before. He didn’t even take it out from his bag the whole time since he last touched it unless someone went through inside his bag.

Junsu groaned inwardly at his own stupidity. He should have torn the page of his wish list out of the notebook and kept it hidden in case someone could have read it. His relationship with Yoochun was still kept as a secret from the public and if someone knew…he doesn’t know anymore.

When Junsu got home that day after a long day of brooding during rehearsals, he found a flat rectangle box on his bed. He dropped his bags on the corner of his room and went to his bed, picking up the box. He examined the box and felt that it was not light or heavy.

He opened the lid and slowly unfolded the tissue paper. He found a black hardbound notebook inside with his name written on an envelope on top. He immediately recognized the handwriting and picked up the envelope, opening it and pulled out a piece of paper.

Junsu smiled at his boyfriend’s thoughtfulness and thought it was really sweet of him. He placed the paper back inside the envelope before putting it down on the bed and picked up his new black notebook. He traced his fingers on the cover; the texture felt rich and tingled the tips of his fingers.

‘You always have a way to go deeper into my heart you fool,’ Junsu thought with a smile still playing on his lips.

He slowly opened the cover and turned the first blank page over. He was bewildered when he found the next page was attached with another paper. The missing page from his previous notebook was there.

‘Yoochun you fool! You’re always full of surprises!’ Junsu thought when he realized that it was more than just an attached page. His eyes scanned and read the page, making his heart flutter more than ever.
