They're making a movie of Steven King's The Mist .  That story scared the hell outta me when I was a kid.  In fact, I still think of it sometimes, especially when I'm on a plane in a super dense fog, where all you can see outside the window is the muted flash of the lights on the wing.

Creepy.

I wonder if the movie will do the story justice.

there was an audiobook released on cassette in the late 80's that i had, and it's since been issued on CD (i have that now too), that tells the story with actors & sound effects and is one of the creepiest things i can think of. i read the book, had the shit scared out of me then listened to the audioplay and THAT scared me more! the movie looks hella scary too but i doubt it'll touch the audioplay.
