And don't forget, he also encouraged/aided the Tlaxcalteca to rise up against the Triple Alliance.

(Ironically, had it not been for disease and the agression of the Tlaxcalteca, Cortez would have failed completely.)

I suggest strongly reading 1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus by Charles C. Mann for a very very interesting look at exactly -how- large the america's and their populations were before conquest. And also for a purely flavor depth read Daily Life of the Aztecs by Jacques Soustelle for a better look at the daily life beyond the commonly written about war and sacrifice.)

Kincaid's been in Arizona since the mid 50's or so. And was for a long time one of the only acolytes in the near mexico portion of the SW, so we could work something out then.

I, amusingly, have very few ties to Kincaid during that period and could use some to flesh it out.

And I'm full of suggestions. One of my accidently concentrations in History is SW history, the mesoamericans, and daily life/flavor. (It also helps my old Thyrsus was into that sort of stuff. And talking about it totally gives me the chance to use her old lj icon.)
