Title: A Moment
Author/Artist: disownmereturns
Character(s) or Pairing(s): Greece/Japan
Rating: G
Warnings: extreme fluff and cheese
Summary: Greece take a moment to reflect how much he loves Japan.

A/N: This is translated from Filipino to English. I…am not sure which version I prefer. I lost a little drama in the translation, but I believe it’s for the best. It’s so cheesy at it is.

He reaches the end of the moonbeam and turns to me and saying, “I think I love you.”

The night breeze blows between us, stirring loose blades of grass from the meadow they peacefully laid on.

I stop in the middle of saving a kitten caught in the tall grass and stand. I fail to hide the surprise on my face.

“…what?”

Japan notices I heard him. His cheeks redden and he suddenly takes a huge interest in the cats following us after our gazes meet for a moment’s heartbeat.

“Japan?”

“Please. You did not hear anything.”

As I gaze at the back he offers me, I think of how I truly have made no mistake loving him. I think of how I’ll never come to regret, in all the centuries I’ve lived and more, that I love him so so much. It hurts that I can’t express what I really feel for him. Sometimes, I get jealous of our people, who have the ability to love to the fullest and to love each other to the fullest. At these times, I realize how it is to be human; a concept seemingly so foreign to us nations.

We are both not good with words.

I look up as Japan steps closer to me, carrying a small kitten that looks like the one previously caught in the tall grass. He holds my hands and gently presses his lips to them before passing the kitten on to me.

I wait for him to speak.

“Greece-san,” he begins. “I’m sorry.”

I inhale deeply as he leans against me. We quietly watch the stars.

No. I cannot possibly love him more than this. Any more and it will kill me.
