I wish I'd realised that auctioning off the conclusion to an existing story were an option. I probably would have skipped the band fandoms altogether (I only signed up for so many in part b/c honestly, I don't really expect anything from there, and the one comm I normally post fic at doesn't allow advertisements so unless people are also watching my personal LJ...), and signed up just for a Doctor Who and for the end of Splitscreen. Ah, well. And I do check my author threads, but as there's nothing going on, there's no point in 'hanging out' there!

Actually, hold on to that option about posting the conclusion to an existing story, Tas. We have a special auction for the Roswell people that is coming up. So while we didn't stop anyone from doing that in this auction, we weren't pushing it for the Roswell people, in particular, because Kath had this outstanding idea for another RF-hosted auction later this fall. When she gets back from the lake I'm hoping she'll have time to hash it out with us a bit more. I'm excited about it!

I feel awful that you're not getting the attention you deserve on some of your auctions! You are a HUGE BNF in my mind, forever and always, so it's shocking to me to realize that the band fandoms aren't jumping all over this! I feel like I need this big blinking banner that would generate attention for you and some of the other Huge authors that aren't being acknowledged the way they should!!
