It could've been Something Completely Different

I've babbled before about how much I would've loved to have seen Terry Gilliam as one of the HP directors, but I know it'll never happen in a million years.  TLC's latest post today confirms all that.

Ahhh, Terry Gilliam... One of the few directors I love and go out of my way to watch. (Which, actually, has very little to do with his previous role in Monty Python.) And it's interesting to me that I didn't realize how much the first HP movies lacked until Cuaron's PoA was released. Still my favorite one.

I adore Terry Gilliam's directing. He has SUCH a creative outlook. I mean, really, really, really creative. I'm still in awe over 12 Monkees. Man, I love him.

I have to admit, though, that as much as I personally adore him, a lot of HP fans might've had a cow over how he would've done the first movie. I think most HP fans are too -pardon the condescension- provencial to have appreciated his take on things.

And yes, I still think Cuaron's HP was the best to date.
