the first time I did my gintoki nails I had red dashes along the bottom of my black nails, but it must've been either the black or red polish, it came out looking icky.
A solid coat of white, let it dry well. Then half a solid coat of blue. Let that dry. Then do white swirls on the blue using a toothpick or a thin brush.
Man, I would TOTALLY love to wear those Gintoki or Kagura nails!!! ... but it's forbidden to wear nail polish where I work. *sigh* I'll keep the designs in mind for vacation times - thanks :D!

You might think of adding some red lining to the black part of the Gintoki design. Then his colour-scheme would be complete.
