So Lj was down again this afternoon. Not long, but it is frequent of late. Plus there was the subject line thing, and lj's general dickory. If something viable appeared, I'd so jump ship. So with the Dreamwidth cheerleaders in full force and open account creation going, I began wondering why I wasn't leaving.

Much of this is why I stay at LJ too. Going to DW seems to be a narrowing of focus, and what LJ did for me was broaden mine. It's how I met you, and many others. I don't think that would've happened at DW.

Yeah, exactly. There are people on my fl who aren't fandom people.

And comms!! I looked on DW just last week for equivalent comms. They are there, but they are DEAD. Some had never been used. What good is that? Here, I can talk w/ other crockpot people, or diabetics, or my fellow fen-in-menopause, or crafty types.
