Bloody Owls

If Lucius-bloody-Malfoy wins any sort of award, I may have to boycott the event on sheer principle. Not to mention prepare for the upcoming apocolypse. Nonetheless, I suppose there should be some comfort in knowing that politics survived the war, hale and hearty.

Goes to show, money really can buy everything.Still not comitting anything terribly ( Read more... )

Ginevra!

Privacy wards, child! What are you thinking? I sympathise with your frustration - but this accomplishes nothing but to draw attention to yourself as a target.

Lucius Malfoy is a dangerous man, and so minor a thing as an Order of Merlin is nothing to what he is capable of.

Have you learnt nothing from me?

On a less admonitory note, I have it on authority that one Mr Neville Longbottom has bred himself a new variety of Mimbulous whose sap might be beneficial in our scar research. I intend to come to the hospital to speak with him about purchasing a supply of the substance.

It is possible I might be unsuccessful in my negotiations. I will keep you informed.

I can't hide that opinion behind privacy wards, Severus, I simply can't. It might be the height of foolishness but I can't condone it even with my silence.

He's-

Well, I do know he's dangerous.

I doubt Neville would mind contributing to such a cause. He just might not want to speak to you but, well, let me know if you need me to ask. I'm certain it'll be fine.

Very well, do as you will.

I do fully support your suggestion regarding Poppy. It seems to me the Healers are often left out of recognition, when it falls to them to reconstruct that which the combatants blow apart.

Merlin knows she's put me back together often enough. A write-in campaign might be in order.

Ginny ~

What a brilliant idea! The thing about Madam Pomfrey, I mean. I'm definitely in. Though I hope support from werewolves doesn't hurt the cause - should I leave the letter anonymous?

Try not to worry about Lucius Malfoy. Or - no, I mean, worry about him, because it's not safe to disregard him completely. But don't let him spoil everything for you. There are lots of people on the ballot that you like, aren't there? So root for them and just pretend he's not on there too. That's what I'm doing. Well, except for the brief moment of pleasure in voting a big fat 'none' for him; I just wish there'd been such a category as 'separate and below the rest of humanity'. Or I wouldn't have minded being able to vote him 'pond scum'. Though that'd be an insult to pond scum everywhere.

Support Harry and everybody else. Brush him off. Imagine how much he'd hate that!

Thanks for the brilliant notion regarding Madam Pomfrey! Let me know where and to whose attention I should send the letter.

Miss Weasley:

Your movement to award Madame Pomfrey for her constant, expert, and unfailing efforts is a noble one. In fact, it is shameful that nothing in a similar vein has been done already.

I would very much like to contribute to the cause. In which direction ought I to send the impassioned and (hopefully) eloquent missive?
