Hello. If you are as disappointed with Bleach as I am, then we can only console each other. I cannot totally grasp why Kubo did it to Gin and Kira. But... well.

Anyway, it's quite sad thing to say, but most of Bleach fanfiction is far better than original itself, don't you think? I don't say Stokrot's and my fanfiction is better, but I do say our ( Read more... )

yes I think reading ch.423, most Bleach fans, even when they're not fan of Gin or GinKira, would be disappointed with Bleach. I was very disappointed and depressed after ch.423 but I didn't want to give another long rant about Bleach anymore. I've been turning into more fanfics for comfort so thank you for posting it here. But when I read fanfics now, I'm still aware that canon wise...Gin is either dead or as good as dead. Sigh...

I still don't have anything against characters dying, as long as their deaths are either meaningful or sensibly shown. I am not disappointed with Bleach merely because of what happened to Gin, but in overall. This story had so great potential, yet Kubo totally wasted it all, and this is terribly sad. What he has done to Espada, to Gin and Izuru, to Ichigo and Rukia - I have no words. Everything turned so flat and superficial, narrowed to fighting and killing. It's not what I used to love in manga & anime in general. I did have some expectations, even recently, yet chapter 423 made me finally realize it was all in vain. It's really harsh, for I tend to take the stories emotionally and get engaged into them.

I'm not against character dying either. If anything Kubo keeps too many characters alive, especially minor and rather unimportant ones ( ... )

Gin has not just become Tousen, but his death appeared even more meaningless and rushed. Tousen at least got some epic fight with Hisagi and Kommomura, whereas Gin was one shotted by Aizen.
I desperately wanted to know more about Gin's reason for his action and how his death would affect Kira, but we get none of that. Although I'm not against Gin completely devoted to Rangiku now, I still fail to see how his actions benefited her and whether or not she actually knows what Gin did for her.

Yeah, exactly like this.
