Hey kids--

No, I didn't die, or anything. I haven't been hiding exactly, but the attempt to level out my blood sugar was pretty exhausting. Things are better today and seems to be evening out ( Read more... )

It doesn't go where the original one is still sitting. They put the kidney and pancreas just below and on either sides of the belly button. To get to the pancreas, they'd have to crack a person open with a can opener. My original one is just sitting there. If it isn't doing something dangerous, there's no reason to take it out.

At least they won't need a map, fortunately: they're changing out the abused one to install the rebuilt one. (Knowing how much it costs for a used one, I wonder how much would it be for new.) There really is no other place to put them.

I feel like an old Chevy-- everything that has gone wrong has been repaired or replaced. It might be a sign that my birthday is the day that the new Chevys come out. It's just too bad the doctors don't give out warranties. Sometimes I wish they would've put in a zipper while they were at it.
