Oh, you are just intent on killing me. As if the porn were not already the most scorchy wrongfucking ever, you always have to go and include some gloriously insightful commentary on the multiple emotional smarts and stupids of a certain Time Lord too (not to mention his companions). I mean, the whole thing is spectacular, but the notion of Five pointing out to Ten how he's retconning his own past to be more emo is about the most genius thing imaginable. (And fuck yeah, he's going to forget or reason his way to other conclusions over the years, cos we do and we aren't >1000). Jamie and Rose and Koschei, oh my.

And yay for it being finished, so I can sit down and read it all in one go at some point and then fall down dead at just how filthy the ginger one is. :D Brava!

Heheh... Yes, I do think that Ten has lost empathy with his past more than he realises - and he is so caught up in his New Emo Life. Poor Doctor, he always has such trouble when he gets swept up in his own character, like Six, and like Four towards the end.

And yay finished! I can't believe it took so loooong! They just would not stop having sex! I've mashed all the bits together into one file so I can eventually cause it to have some kind of pacing and/or cohesion, and then I'll chuck it on Teaspoon. :D

Hmm, maybe that is Ten's problem indeed, being too self-obsessed. I've been pondering him taking on the companion role more in S3 (being the vulnerable one who keeps needing to be rescued) and that being why he seems to me to deviate so much from Doctorishness. But then he is enormously like that late-era Four, so desperately aware of all the things he's fucked up, so old-seeming... Dear lord, pron has never made me so pondersome.

*nodnods* I'm very curious to see how S4 pans out - Ten seems to have shot straight to a square one pushy-away no-companiony state where he wants to be alone so as to spare himself the pain of loss/letdown, sigh. Hopefully a Pushy Companion will cure him. We shall see.

::mems:: This is utterly brilliant. Gorgeous prose, with snark delicately woven in, it's the best (and occasionally worst) of our friends, and that's what the whole thing boils down to, isn't it? It's the Doctor trying to be himself twice over, and really just getting lost in the details. It's Turlough finding himself twenty years on at the same time he's our familiar ginger sketchball. It's Tegan madly dashing off to find something that will distract her from how sad it all really is. You've done them all with excellent voicing, and Turlough in the future rocks my day. I was alternately laughing and cooing at this story, and really glad my roommate had left for the evening ;P Also, the sheer fact that you managed to bring Two/Jamie marriage into this? Love.

I may be over 2 1/2 years late to this party, but DAMN. You win not just the internet, but life itself. This is that ephemeral, non-existent, 'ideal' (if you will) fic, where not only does the amazing sex just keep going, but all the devilishly complicated emotional components are actually taken into account and fleshed out beautifully, with such empathy and finesse... it's... it's just... with the Turlough, and the Five, and the little mention of Two/Jamie... it's... wow. Yes. Those seem to be all the words I've got right now, the rest having FLED MY BRAIN in awed incoherence. Honestly, it's a minor miracle I managed this much. Well done indeed.
