Sometime post Battle of Hogwarts. Instalment 3 in 'The Tea Drabble Series'... Severus brings Hermione back to his for a cuppa... Or maybe a mug, whichever. At any rate, they come a good deal closer over a couple of mugs of tea.

A short ginger!Drabble. Loosely inspired by toblass's drawing of Severus and Hermione ('Tea and Toast' on AO3)

A sign of the apocalypse, surely, or you must have liked it quite a lot. 😆

Thanks, MW! ❤️

Oh, I love this scene as well!

Draco and Harry are both sneaky little buggers and I wonder what they thought they knew when they gifted those matching mugs.

It's so sweet to see sshg snogging each other senseless. And even better to have him stop her from further thinking on mugs.

Well done, Ginger! You ROCK!

And thank you so much for writing all this yummy tea goodness. 😘🥰

Glad you do. (Wasn't sure you would, which is why I decoupled it from the previous scene.) But I think you can easily see where your drawing served as fuel for the drabble...

I think whenever I Drarry, I also picture Draco and Hermione becoming friends (they either are or will be). And I generally like a Draco interested in Severus' welfare. So for my money, Draco and Harry were gossiping about 'Grape' and wishing them well, and cheerily instigating wherever they could. (And after the fact, they'll be insufferably smug about it.)

(Draco said they *weren't* but *should*, Harry wasn't so sure they *hadn't*. Draco, however, was *positive*, Harry said he was underestimating Hermione's tenacity and courage, and it's not like Snape had much shame. He'd been a Death Eater after all... For *that* comment, he was banished to the (not particularly squashy) couch for two nights, before Draco's blue balls got the better of him and he forgave the tosser against his better judgement. Harry made it worth his while and freely admitted the error of ( ... )

Now you *know* I worked the Drarry in there especially for you. ❤️ Glad you liked it. 😊

(Also, gratuitous Drarry scene in the comment above... 😉)

You know, I think I like those the best actually. Steamy is nice, but old-married-couple-y is what carries you through the years, and I just like to feel like everyone's happiness is sorted for the longer term...

Ah-ha! I don't think Severus and Hermione have anything on Draco and Harry when it comes to laying the foundations for a beautifully executed plan to achieve a desired outcome.

Severus and Hermione are so much like each other: intelligent, brilliantly intelligent, great researchers, and wonderfully talented in getting others to (at the very least) attempt to do what they would like to them to do. But they weren't very good at talking to each other on such a personal level.

I loved it when she tells him "I thought you were joking... "No, it's just..." she hastens to regroup. "I have the exact same one in pink. Harry and Draco?"... "I didn't realise they'd gotten you the match to mine."

But I adore Hermione's willingness to seize an opportunity when it presented itself. On the heels of his timid kiss, she climbed him like a tree, and he finds himself cradling her delectable arse in both hands. But Hernione is seized by the thought that she cannot Transfigure silver. Minutiae, minutiae, minutiae. She's ( ... )
