I had no idea those existed. Huh.

For something even odder, look into a posset, which is sort of a liquid egg cream / custard that was drunk for dessert in posher homes. I like how desserts, or food for that matter, goes through fads over the centuries.

I have heard of syllabub, but woe is me, I have never had the pleasure of tasting it.

Hermione has gotten very cheeky. And Severus has become very happy. <3 <3 <3

Lighter than american pudding, creamier than mousse. Easy enough to make, and at the moment a clear win because the ingredients were sourceable. 😉

I think I like them both best a bit cheeky. Life is too short not to have fun. 😊

"A syllabub!" She shrieks in laughter. "Your grandmother Flooed, she'd like her afters returned."

Hahaha they sure can banter! This was delightful. And I'm with Sev - a little teasing seems like it would be worth it for a larger portion!

Oh I suspect he'd find a little teasing worth it even without the extra helping, if only for the familiarity and fondness it speaks to. 😉

Thanks, MW. ❤️
