...and more brilliant than ever in next week's Harry Potter: Wizards Unite! Lost Love Brilliant Event. (That's a lot of caps... lol) From Tuesday, 25 February 11am PST through 03 March 11 am PST.
Well... I don't know the first thing about Wizards Unite. I don't have the skilz to even pretend I do. However, could that little thing on his table in front of the stack of books / photo of him and Lily be a small figurine of two house elves holding hands? Or a shallow dish of two growing mushrooms? Or another portkey?
See, I told you I didn't know nuthin' 'bout this game. But I for sure wish you luck. It looks like it could be a lot of fun.
1. Wedding cake topper (for house elves?) 2. Salt and pepper shakers 3. Some kind of vial holder (looks like a glass bottle/beaker between the two darker parts) 4. An hour glass
All *I* came up with was two sort of melted candles with a Puffskein behind them (which makes no sense at all...). I just can't tell. Or a grumpy creature sitting behind a pair of those glasses they give you at the ophthalmologist for... reasons, I'm sure. Nope, just can't make sense of it.
I swear they put so much detail and effort into the designs that I just can't believe the thing smack the middle of the picture (and table) doesn't have function or meaning.
Wizards Unite is a Harry Potter based electronic scavenger hunt (like Pokemon Go) that takes place in the real world and is played via your smart phone. So you have to cover physical distances to do things in the game. (Or you could play stationary on a tablet, but then you can't do some of things required in the game.) And I enjoy wandering around looking for Snapes that I get to rescue. 😊
I do love me a scavenger hunt. The last one I went on was a photographic architectural scavenger hunt through Boston, and it was a blast. You had a checklist of types of arches and building materials and corbels and mullioned windows and all sorts of things, and whoever snapped photos of everything first won! (Not me, BTW. I was a slow scavenger.)
Ooooo! That sounds like a blast! Boston and Cambridge have a lot of great architecture, too. And it gives bonus points for swottiness. Much better than just being about who is faster. Pfft. (Although my bike helps level the playing field. 😉)
It's one of the followingkit10notk9February 21 2020, 00:36:49 UTC
1. Potions ingredients collection basket to harvest wild growing ingredients that can't be cultivated. 2. The "In" basket for the dunderheads pathetic attempts at potions, specially charmed to take out all Gryffindors' potions if even one potion in the basket expoldes; but will protect all of the Slytherins' potions. 3. Inkwell desk set, holds many bottles of red ink, and his special sarcasticquill. 4. Owl post stand. holds money for paper, owl treats, outgoing mail, & a small owl. 5. special reading stand to hold potions book open so you can read it while brewing.

I particularly like 2 and 3, but I still can't see it. Commemorative house elf statue... Um, miniaturised house elf meets goblin statue of the different magical species holding hands and bridging the historical divide between them... (Mara's cake topper was a better idea.) Frustrating. I mean the artist must have had something in mind, or did s/he just go: I will draw a random shape! 😐

Someday, someone will tell us what it's supposed to be when we need to grab it for points in another game.
