Final Curtain for the Calendar...

Dec 27, 2019 19:04

Ages ago, adafrog had asked if all of the builds together make a final scene, or if they're self-contained. I figured it might help to do a last shot of everything together to better illustrate the answer. (And let the players take their bows... 😉)

I enjoyed the Advent Adventure. Cool that you came up with the concept that Adult!Hermione came from a dystopian future because Harry & Ginny died in the Chamber of Secrets. I think this could be the basis of a full-blown fic.
I also beleive you have enough figures to recreate a Lego version of mywitch Day 15: 'Fire Drill!' from the 2019 25 Days of Drawing. (I know you made a Poppy Pomphrey figure, but I don't know if you have or will need to make ones of Hooch & Sprout.)
You'd think that Lego would do Nearly Headless Nick's Death Day Party. You'd get all the ghosts plus Flitch & Mrs. Norris.
(Wikipedia says that Peeves & Nearly Headless Nick are the only ghosts to have Lego figures made.)

Ginny didn't die, she just fared poorly, having to wait (longer) for staff to come rescue her because the Dysfunctional Duo thought they could do it on their own, tried and failed, crucially delaying her rescue. She ends up in St. Mungo's with Gilderoy. But she's effectively lost, and between that and Harry being out of the picture, Hermione and Ron never grow that close. And then there are a bunch of follow up losses, and it all takes its toll. I actually mapped it all out and then figured out 1) what I'd have to change, and 2) what I absolutely had to tell of the story for it to make sense. (And I'm really hoping I was right on that front, because when you have the story in your head, sometimes it's easy to overlook that everyone else doesn't.) Maybe I'll do an epilogue with them at some point... Depends if I can make it read less like a shopping list. Meh ( ... )

Too bad Lego didn't do the Doctor Who episode "Love & Monsters", the woman who played Myrtle was the girlfriend who became a floor tile on that episode.
Clara Oswald could double as a great adult Hermione.

Ha, you know I had heard about this set and was thinking of buying it for myself, but forgot. Honestly, I don't think I would have enjoyed mine as much as I enjoyed you enjoying yours :D

This was marvelous fun, thank you for sharing!!

Well most people are more sensible and don't sit there playing with plastic excessively. Generally speaking, that's probably a good thing, too. I am of questionable sensibility, so, um, this happened. Glad you enjoyed my excursion into silliness.
