I hate when someone says"That camera takes good pictures." I want to say back "No, it doesn't! It's not the camera, it's the photographer." The equipment may make some things easier, but in the end, it's just an extension of your eyes which, in a way, are extensions of your brain. The photo exists in your head. The camera is the means to get it out (and no, I haven't been drinking or smoking - it made sense to me).

no no, it makes total sense to me, sober. the photo DOES exist in my head. sort of like how the man exists in michelangelo's head before he decides to set him free from the block of marble.

hahhaa yeah, i mean, i STILL want a dslr for all of my protests that it's not necessary. you know? i still WANT one. i just can't afford it. so instead i write blog entries that make it sound as if i don't need one at all anyway thank-you-very-much. ;) but yeah, ultimately i have this tiny canon that takes photos i would have never thought possible, actually, considering its size. and ultimately, you're right and i'm right. it's the photog. totally the photog.
