Ever since Monster-Mania Con this summer, when a friend & I cosplayed the Fitzgerald sisters (& were fortunate enough to meet Katharine Isabelle), my mom (paragon of coolness that she is) wanted to try it, too. So, when I visited her just prior to Halloween (she lives in a different state), we had a little mini-party complete with cosplay session. ( Read more... )

OMG, that's freaking awesome. You even got the birdskull necklaces!

Thanks! Yeah, the necklace was a gift - my friend that I cosplayed with at the convention MADE them for us, just for the occasion! (She's uber-artistic.)

Actually, it was an entry in this community that alerted me to the convention in the first place! ^_^ It will go down as one of the highlights of this year, having had the chance to meet Katie (as she introduced herself). She was totally sweet.
