We've had mandatory overtime all this month, five hours per week.  I thought we'd get a break next week for the holidays.  You know, nice 9-5 job, paid holidays, government contract, etc.  Um...No.  This morning our interim manager (we've had three in the last year and they are head hunting again) told us that while he wants as many extra hours as ( Read more... )

* hugs * Don't worry about the MSV, worry about getting rest when you come home. I can't speak for anyone else, but I'll survive if things are getting sticky on your end and you are frazzled when you get home. Get some rest.

I know from experience the toll a lot of OT can take. My mom did a ton of it before the head nacho's at the hospital she works at basically cut all overtime from the cafeteria budget.

Get rest, relax and do something to pamper yourself when you get home.

Yeah, what she said. ^_^

Seriously, hun, rest and relax - don't worry about the MSV - we can wait. You need to take care of yourself, so you can take care of your family.

Thanks. I'll try to find some way to relax. Usually, it's the writing that relaxes me, or at least gives me an outlet for my frustrations.

Minor victory: I check my insurance stuff while I was at work. I've been fighting for months to get some of the Spawn's claims processed. I'm finally seeing them go through. Yay! I'm changing plans for 2009. I'm done with the stupid HMO.

I will. I'm just extra annoyed because since we both had to work on our anniversary this past Wed., we are celebrating today. I was looking forward to a nice Saturday: Sleeping in, going out, some time with hubby...Now half the day is gone to work. Ack.
