Emma is dressed in a heavy winter coat. She has yet to take to wearing her uniform, finding the length of the skirts positively unseemly, despite being considered one of the more modern women in Highbury. Still, this would be her first social meeting outside of housemates or applications, so she was cautious to show an adequate amount of school spirit by wrapping her Ravenclaw scarf smartly around her neck.

"Good-day, Ginny. I truly do appreciate your invitation." She clasps both her hands together, trying to hide her eagerness to help a girl with her admirers. True, it was too kind to say that Miss Smith had been a disaster, but Emma has certainly learned from her mistakes. She is certain that she will be much better at it, this time.

"Hi, Emma. Glad you could make it." Where on earth had she gotten those clothes. Even the most out of fashion things at Madame Malkins' were more up to date that what Emma had on! She was going to have to be introduced to jeans and hoodies, at the very least.

And was she ever bouncy! That was good, though. Ginny had a few projects in mind that Emma's enthusiasm would be perfect for.

"Have you had a chance to settle in yet? I don't know many of the Ravenclaws, outside of Professor Lupin, but some of them seem okay. I hope they're being nice to you."

"Quite! I am well met with a Mr. Winchester... although I truly should refer him by his army rank or as 'Doctor'. But changing it would draw attention to it now. Oh, and his friend, Captain Pierce, has joined us in Ravenclaw. They are all being quite nice... well, except for that skinny little man who has a tendency to interrupt my conversations to call the applicant 'smarmy' and demand he be put in Hufflepuff. That's twice that's happened, and I do not imagine we have ever even spoken. He is a riddle, quite a riddle!"

She stops. "Oh, but what of you, sweet Ginny? I hope you are treated decently by your housemates."

"Oh, good! I'm glad you've met a few nice people in your House. You'll like Professor Lupin, too, I'm sure. He's very smart and kind and good. I don't think I've met these doctors you're talking about, but then, I only go to a few sortings, myself. I'm not sure what skinny man you're talking about, though. Do you know his name ( ... )
