edit:
Hmm, seems dead now. That was interesting. There were +300 views of that youtube video in one hour. Now it's been dead for some time. I suspect as everyone gets off of work it'll pick up again.

I love that concept and gadget!

Security is one of my interests and this looks like perfect step when working in public. Master passwords already helped, but this totally disables being able to read what password you type.
Well, it can be stolen and someone may remember you password on it..but that's just as secure as with master passwords. So this still is the magic helper/key making it even a bit better.

I love how simple it still keeps. Small thing, but great value. I would love to have such one.

Oh thanks! Well, I think security is about moving secrets actually. I cannot guarantee that it wont be stolen. If a casual thief has it the passcode to unlock it would be a barrier, but if someone an avr programmer got ahold of it they could take it apart and read all your passwords out of the eeprom. It's useful to me however, despite this fact. The trade-off of having to pull good passwords out of your head to keeping a secret on your belt I think is worth it.

If you want me to build you one I certainly will. You probably should email me at pantsbutt@gmail.com so people can't read what we're saying.

Hahaha. Well yeah, you're right. One improvement could be encrypting the stored passwords. (So your passcode decrypts a master key that is used to decrypt the stored passwords when being active.) I think the Blowflish encryption code was pretty small.

I immediately jumped over once I saw the LJ page in yer demo video. I mean, LJ *does* rule! Sorta, like, in a retro way. Also, huge ups to the Sneakers reference. <3

Hah! I friended you, too, so now I don't havta search through frienditto for your sekret posts! Also, there was a time I didn't realize the difference between Twitter and LJ, and participated in the annoying fad of letting Twitter dump into LJ. Gawd, I was so lame back then. Its possible I'm still lame now.

Also, yay Vim.

Saying "yay Vim" automatically takes away any lameness incurred elsewhere. Just saying
