Well I'm taking it easy today. I've got certain pains, shall we say. The kind I loathe and resent some months more than others. But let's not go there ( Read more... )

I'm glad that students were very enthusiastic into your class. :)
The restaurant sounds awesome! I definitely have to find a place like that around here. And, the bottle DOES look like Edwardian era! Hahaha! xD

I hope they remain enthusiastic! But thanks :)

I didn't try the spiked cola, but I hear they have other products. I wonder if the labels are similar.

I found last night's Doctor Who pretty disturbing, but well done. I've been meaning to ask if you are doing this: http://gonzolabs.org/dance/ The “Dance Your Ph.D.” Contest.

Ha! I didn't know about it, but I might just give it a go!

DW was disturbing, but also annoying. I think some of the ideas were great but I wanted to slap them for not just meeting back in the hallway or waiting for her to get out of the TARDIS before going anywhere!

oh, jeremiah weed, how i love/hate you.

true story: after a night on the town, several friends went back to my bff's house to continue drinking. there on the shelf was a bottle of jeremiah weed sweet tea vodka. i was intrigued. i took a small sip... and it tasted EXACTLY like sweet tea. so i started mixing it with coke and drinking... cut to 5 am when i realize for at least the last hour i have been forgetting to add a mixer and have been GUZZLING STRAIGHT VODKA because it tastes nothing like straight vodka. the next morning was not a happy one.

Oh wait, that was meant to be a warning AGAINST it, eh? LOL

The dinner sounds lovely, and I'm glad you had a good time! Class sounds promising, too--enthusiastic students coming up afterward is usually a good sign. Fingers crossed that they continue to be an interesting, interested bunch.

When you say that you'd like your replacement to be like you, only better, I can't help but think of Simon Amstell saying that his type is "me, only better." :D

Hooray for the internet, and hooray for Skype!

Indeed, it *is* a good sign. I hope it lasts, because as you know when the students are interested and invested, I remain enthusiastic.

And you know what? Simon Amstell's bit is EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING when I wrote this. Heeeee.

Hurray for the internet. <3 <3 <3

Yeah, I'd actually like to meet Better Me. Possibly in the episode on my life that features alternate universes and time travel. I think maybe there's something about exploding or disrupting history, but I'd like to meet her anyway.
