Chickpea pancakes? Yummy! You get those a lot in southern Indian cuisine often rolled round a spicy potato filling- my neighbour Gulmini is a dab hand at them :o)
The last couple on mine may be of interest to you.
Sounds like you've had a pretty good time! By the way do you have Whittards stores there? I'm just curious! I do like their fruit teas and hot chocolate, and we have a store in Wimbledon so not that far from here. But I never saw any in Canada...
Alas, there is no Whittards in NYC. However, my dear friend spursgirl79 brought me back a giant bag of loose tea the last time she visited.
I quite like some of their fruit teas. My favorite was "Old English Fruits" but they've since discontinued it except for instant. Why there is a need for instant tea, I've no idea. Sticking a bag in hot water seems instant enough for me.
The recipe calls for 1/2 wheat and 1/2 chickpea flour. However, if you make it only with chickpea flour it will be fine but have a less chewy consistency.
You might want to have a look at some Indian recipes as well, as they make savory chickpea crepes called dosas that are lovely spiced with cardamon and filled with potatoes, string beans, carrots, and other veggies.
I've got so many sunchokes it's unbearable. I plan to give some away. I used them in the chickpea pancakes. And a friend of mine recommended roasting them with carrots and potatoes. I'm also thinking to julienne them and use them like bamboo shoots in a veggie and buckwheat soba noodle dish and throw in some carrots and the nappa cabbage.
What about you?
And, I am overall satisfied with the CSA share. Though I do wish they gave us more eggs. The yogurt was lovely.

Wonders why a Spanish inflected restaurant in Spain is calling itself 'Taberna Toscana'? I'd be expecting Tuscan bean soup or zuppa di faro! :oS
