Wouldn't it be great if people got paid to do what they really enjoy?

I should get paid to watch television and come up with better endings than the ones shown. Well, that is a job, but it's one many people vie for.

What if someone could be paid for crushing beer cans because they have the best technique and can crush cans in exactly the same way over and over? Or what if someone could get paid for really excellent parallel parking? Or eating an entire pan of macaroni and cheese in one go? Or spitting really far?

That's a reality I'd like to live in.

I get paid to do what I really enjoy (I'm a research historian and writer) and I get to do it from home (at least the writing phase).

Just as well with all this snow! :o)

Staying home in pj's with a pusscat (and a pot of tea) sounds good to me though :o)

If they're going to make stupid errors in their papers, why can't they make them entertaining errors, hmm? It's the least they could do.

And come to think of it, all jobs should come with PJ, Fanfic and Cocoa days, alongside sick/personal time, don't you think? That would be much more of an enticement to me than a lot of other benefits...

Well today I graded a paper on "women's roles in history" wherein the author repeatedly used the phrase "throughout history." Amazing how she managed to fit all of time immemorial into 8 pages.

I agree, all jobs should come with that. Alas, with my boss on holiday there is no way I could do it even if I had extra time to take. What I need is to NO LONGER HAVE AN OFFICE JOB. But that won't happen for awhile, alas.
