The Trout is definitely well worth a visit and it is normally particularly lovely at this time of year. They also have a range of whiskies that is well worth checking out :-)
Next time I'm back in Oxfnord I'll cheerfully take a wander over there with you for lunch.
Whilst I'm giving pub advice I should mention that The Fishes in North Hinksey is also a fantastic place for an evenings drinking once the weather warms up a bit.

Also, Zeke is right about the Trout. My mum loves it. However, peacocks necks scare me ever so slightly.
