I'm going to give next week's ep a shot, but it may be a thing where this season I'll go all "meh." Which sucks, because I like everyone else and every other plotline and every other couple/possible couple/ridicously cute crush on Stella thing that's going on with the show. And I don't really want Lindsay to leave because I actually like her, but I do not see this ending well for either her or Danny.

But yeah, wet!swimming!Mac made me squee like nobody's business. Why couldn't we get more of a torso shot, though? Why was the towel having to be so obstructing? I want my fan service, damnit!

Off topic: any news on when Eureka's coming back? I miss it terribly.

I know. It bites. Fundamentally, it's an awesome show, but the slow degredation of Danny's character and now this.... It seems like the writers have given up on him. And I don't want this whole baby storyline, especially considering that they seem to

IMO you didn't get your fanservice for a couple reasons: 1.) Gary's not a spring chicken. I'll give him props for the age, but it wouldn't be as shiny as the other boys. Network wouldn't go for that. 2.) Mac's scar wasn't present-- it would have been hours of makeup to get him in and out of it just for the one shot, and it's a lot easier to not have to deal with that -- less money, less time.

Last I know of, Eureka is currently filming in Vancouver for Season 3.5, and will be doing so through March(?). The writers, however, have dropped off the map, and have not updated Eureka Unscripted for almost 2 months now. :-/ It's on my to-do list to send them an e-mail, they're nice people. The comic, however, comes out NEXT MONTH. woot! (Nathan's not dead! And it's about Jo!)

I don't know if the writers have given up on him, per se. I think that they think they're giving him deep, meaningful storylines when all they're doing is making the fandom come to despise the character. And this baby thing is actually turning off some of the D/L fans I know (or at least the ones who weren't rabid shippers in the first place). I swear, they pull crap liek this with my OTP and I'll stop watching.

Yeah, I know. But it still sucks. ::pout::

See, that is a comic I may actually go to my local comic book store and buy as each issue comes out.

Yeah, maybe they think that. Or they decided that they can have a character that they can do what they want, sort of experimental like. Except that people hate it... only the immature (and strangely enough, large and 'average' audience) like it.

I have never, ever been a comics person. And I will become one only for this comic. I've already found the nearest comics shop and put a copy on reserve. It just has too much potential.... (Notdead Nathan, more character depth, Colin eventually writing for it...)
