Ficlet: "Flesh and Blood" (Mac/Danny, Mac/Jack) PG

Danny presses against him from behind and slips his arms around Mac as he stands by the counter in the kitchen, rain clouding up the tiny window over the sink. He blinks as Danny's cold hands drift up under his t-shirt, and suddenly the air's warm and dry and the hands warm, slightly bigger and callused.
"Been waitin' all day, Chicago," a low voice mumbles into his ear before moving on to nuzzle against the side of his neck, teeth scraping gently over the skin followed quickly by a soothing lick. The broad hand drifts toward the top of his uniform trousers, and suddenly it's cold again, back in the kitchen of his apartment some 20 years later.
He gasps and jumps slightly from the sudden switch back to present time. Danny pauses with his hand half under the waistband of Mac's sweats, obviously confused by Mac's sudden reaction but thankfully doesn't actually say anything. Mac cants his hips forward in encouragement and after a breath Danny continues, much to Mac's relief.
The next gasp drawn from him, however, is from the flesh-and-blood man behind him, and not from the ephemeral reach of the ghosts of the past.
