I am so in the moment when you write these two.

Jack teaching Mac his magic. It conjures a picture in my mind of the two of them just spending some off time together and it turning into a tryst. I always see Mac's Sloe smile and his eyes (at this point still trusting) sparkling as he looks at Jack.

Nice companion piece to The Illusionist. You both rock my world!

Thanks! :-)

I imagine they spent a lot of time like that together-- they were best friends as well as lovers. Jack was very much the teaching type, and Mac would quietly humor and learn things from him.

He was definately a different man then, and would have been somewhat more open with Jack. And, even if he didn't admit it to himself, there was love there.

Love the icon. :-D

i'm not really a slash fan, but i like the way you two write it. i can suspend disbelief.

good job.

Thanks! :-)

It means even more if we can make it believable to someone who isn't into slash, rather than someone who is. If they're in character, it's easier to believe that other things can happen.

I like to believe that Jack really is someone who made an impact on him for the rest of his life-- and not just because he was someone he hit the sheets with.

People don't realize that it's not *just* these pieces that work well together-- y'all haven't seen me and stellaluna_ working together.... *grins evilly*

Thanks. I can't complain about working with the best in the fandom. We have general series for this challenge, so there will be some het mixed in there with the slash. :-)

Thanks.

Wait. You *know* where my icon is from? Where? stellaluna_ found it long ago and was drawn to it solely because it looks like a younger Mac and Jack kissing. We've always wanted to know who was in it and where it was from. (It will be Mac/Jack for us always though. :-D)

yeah that is Liam Neeson kissing Peter Saaraaguaard (however the hell you spell his last name) in Kinsey.

Hot kiss, great movie.

However, I am quite happy for it to eternally be hot marine lovin'. :)

Wow. Damn. That's something that I'm going to have to look up...

Liam SO doesn't look like Jack, and other boy doesn't look like Mac, but when you can't see the faces... Heeeeeeeeeeeee.

It will forever be Mac and Jack. :-D

Thanks. :-)

And yes, there will be much more. In fact, I've already got the next one written, and the ball's in her court for the companion, and I know for a fact that she's working on something that's NOT the companion....

Where is that icon from? Is it the one that has the young verison of Ducky from NCIS?

You're welcome. ^^

*does the dance of joy* Wow, you gals write/work fast, which pleases me to no end. ;^D

The "Don't knock it..." icon? The icon is by Farfalla, and it features Captain Kirk (shirtless), from "Star Trek," and some older gentleman (in uniform). The identity of the older man is unknown to me, but I don't believe he's the actor, David McCallum, who plays Ducky. (For pics of a younger David McCallum, when he was on "Man from U.N.C.L.E.," check out this link from imdb.com: http://www.imdb.com/gallery/mptv/1372/Mptv/1372/9948_0025.jpg?path=pgallery&path_key=McCallum,%20David%20(I) .)

By the way... If you want to see an icon which features a younger Mark Harmon (Gibbs "NCIS"), here's the link: http://ctsquirrel.livejournal.com/31945.html?mode=reply . The icon is #17 on the grid. *growl* ^^
