rubs hands together and grins maniacally.

I love it when Stark underestimates Carter. Always makes the games more interesting...

Wow, livejournal ate all the reply notices to this one, go figure! :-/

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it.

I think for a very long time, Nathan does underestimate Jack. Because it seems everyone in the town does, really. Just because he doesn't have a PhD, doesn't mean he's not actually the smartest person in the town. ;-)

I liked this a lot. Loved that it was from Stark's point of view. And him being so clinical. Dare I hope there will be a sequel? Please?

Nathan is a fun character to work with, and I rather think he doesn't get as much attention as others. :-/

No, sorry. No sequels. It's just not how my brain works. I'm still hoping, however, to be inspired by the new season to write some more Eureka (even though White Collar is currently eating my brain.)

This was great, I loved the dynamics in here and how Nathan clearly underestimates Jack. Great work :)

Everyone in the town consistently underestimates Jack-- I don't think Nathan would be any exception. But, I also think he could change his mind when presented with enough evidence.

This is so amazing, went on my rec list. :) I love the slow development with looks at canon events. The evolution of Nathan's thoughts are great, too. I had to grin at the Mayberry nickname throughout the first half. XD

Aw, thanks for the rec!

"Mayberry" has always stuck in my head ever since Nathan kinda blurts it out in 'Purple Haze'. It made me wonder how long exactly had he been labeling Jack that in his head? Probably a while.

Anyone who's done work in the sciences can appreciate how as you work an experiment how your results can change your opinion of the matter at hand. Nathan's not immune to it either. ;-)
