I think technically we'd fall under Newcastle. Cause the back end of Newcastle is REALLY getting close now. Especially since Renton annexed a BUNCH of area over by Apollo/May Valley Road and such.
And at least we weren't the last. The news said that Duvall/Woodinville is still is in big trouble. And the storms last night didn't knock us out again, thank goodness. Mom refuses to get a lot of food until after Christmas, which there is supposed to be another weather system on the way for. sigh. :-(
I'm so sick of this "pockets remain" and "friday to saturday" garbage. It's to the point now where I'm getting depressed that I can't spend time with my family like I planned for break. I just want to make christmas cookies and hang out with my mom. Too bad PSE can't get that in their heads.
I learned my lesson about the "pockets" thing after going to the other side of the neighborhood. One street had some massive damage, and the rest of us had not that much. And the neighborhood is relatively uniform too.
PSE was awful slow to even assess things-- and I'll believe my professional electrician neighbor who said that it took so long because they had so much damage to the big feeders and distrobution grid-- and that was largely due to a lack of overall maintence of that structure up until recently. (last 5ish years) Now all the crews that WERE here are all going to go to Denver and the giant blizzard land. :-/
and if you're bored, feel free to come up to Stevens court to hang. Kay is back now too, she's on Duty for 6 days starting tomorrow. She couldn't figure out why Carina and I were still here today. Gee... let me think.
I would like to come visit y'all soon. I miss you guys. :-(
And I don't blame you for not going home when you've got a place that HAS water and power. I just wasn't willing to leave Mom and the cats to fend for themselves when I was already there.
